Blow for Thailand futsal team

The Thai futsal team suffered a 5-3 defeat against Ukraine in their second Group A match at the 2012 Futsal World Cup at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Thailand attempted a spirited fightback after trailing 5-0 in the first half but their efforts came up just short.

Thailand coach Victor Hermans said Saturday he was confident his men could handle the Ukrainians.

    Life can be extrememy tough on Thais, when they get confronted with the reality of the world outside. Sadly comes from the (lack of) education, being told all the time: you're the best, you're the best. The best in what, what are the criteria? Thais can be the best, in many disciplines, in the next generation, if they start getting the chance to become some real education! But who'd put money on that...
