Thai stars in front at halfway mark

Local hopefuls Nattawat Suvajankorn and Pannarat Thanapolboonyaras were leaders at the halfway stage of the Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championships in Hua Hin yesterday.

In the Boys' Class A, Nattawat, who was two strokes behind the lead in the first round, fired a five-under-par 67 with six birdies and one bogey. A two-round score of four-under-par 140 moved him to the top of the leaderboard.

Nine strokes behind was Majmudar Yash of Singapore who shot a 72 for 149.
