Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon lost to second seed Li Xuerui of China in the women's singles final at the Li Ning China Open badminton tournament in Shanghai yesterday.
In an attempt to win her first Superseries title, the 17-year-old shuttler, ranked 10th in the world, was well beaten 21-12, 21-9 by the local star.
It took world No.2 Li only 31 minutes to claim her fourth win over the Thai in five meetings.
