Hasan lifts Bangladesh with debut hundred

- +

Bangladesh's Abul Hasan became only the second man in 135 years of Test cricket to hit a debut hundred while batting at number ten, on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies on Wednesday.

Bangladesh's No. 10 batsmen Abul Hasan (L) acknowledges the crowd after scoring a half century as teammate Mohammad Mahmudullah looks on during the first day of the second Test in Khulna, Bangladesh, November 21, 2012. Hasan notched a debut century to help Bangladesh recover to 365-8 on the opening day of the second and final Test on Wednesday.

At stumps the 20-year-old left-hander was unbeaten on 100. He had added an invaluable 172 with Mohammad Mahmudullah (72) after the home team were in trouble on 193-8.
