Schaefer has healthy squad for Malaysia

Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer has a healthy squad to face Malaysia in the semi-final first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The second leg is at Supachalasai stadium next Thursday with the winners taking on Singapore or the Philippines in the two-legged final later this month.

Schaefer said he was happy that all his players trained together yesterday.

"We do not have injured players," the German coach said. "The atmosphere at today's training was fantastic. We could practise several tactics to be used against Malaysia."

Schaefer said it would be difficult to win at Malaysia because of their supporters who often pack the stadium.

Thailand manager Tanusak Lek-uthai said he would bring the players to sign a well-wishers' book for His Majesty the King at Siriraj hospital on Thursday.

Thailand have won the Southeast Asian title three times. They are desperate to win back the crown after they last won the biennial event in 2002 and were knocked out in the first round in the previous edition in 2010.
