Woodwork wins out as West Ham hold West Brom

West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United both failed to reverse disappointing sequences of results after a 0-0 draw between the teams in the Premier League on Sunday.

West Ham United's English forward Carlton Cole (C) strikes the ball on goal as West Bromwich Albion's Swedish defender Jonas Olsson (L) and English defender Billy Jones (R) attempt to tackle him during the English Premier League football match between West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United at The Hawthorns in West Bromwich, England, on December 16, 2012. The game was a 0-0 draw.

West Brom midfielder James Morrison came closest to breaking the deadlock at The Hawthorns, twice striking the crossbar in the second half, as his side ended a run of three consecutive defeats.
