Australia's former Tour de France winner Cadel Evans insisted on Friday that he was still capable of competing at the highest level in 2013 despite his 36th birthday fast approaching.

Evans, who managed only seventh on last year's Tour, believes he will still be a force to be reckoned with as the year unfolds with his BMC team.
