USADA chief: Armstrong lied to Oprah

US Anti-Doping Agency chief Travis Tygart says Lance Armstrong lied in his confessional interview with Oprah Winfrey, and the shamed cyclist has until February 6 to "cooperate fully" if he wants to lessen his life ban.

A man watches Lance Armstrong's interview with Oprah Winfrey on a television on January 17, 2013. US Anti-Doping Agency chief Travis Tygart says Armstrong lied in his confessional interview with Oprah, and the cyclist has until February 6 to "cooperate fully" if he wants to lessen his life ban.

In an excerpt of an interview with the CBS network, which will air in full on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, Tygart said Armstrong lied about several key points -- including his claim that he raced clean in his comeback in 2009 and 2010.

@1 - They have learned how to find banned substances. That is why he is know being prosecuted, and why the urine, and blood samples were all kept from past races for new testing innovations. They aren't solely prosecuting him because of other team mates testemony, most of it has to do with his past samples now failing to match his biometric passport, that is now required of all professionally competing athletes. It is like a finger print of that athlete's blood, and urine. When the sample taken does not match the biometric passport, then that athlete has been doping, and most of Armstrong's samples did not match.

The US Anti-Doping Agency has allowed him to race for how many titles and now in his retirement only because some of his team mates admitted doping can they put a case together .They should learn how to find banned substances during the race instead of coming out years later wagging their fingers at retired athletes .
