Thailand got off to a bad start to their Asian Cup qualifying campaign last night when they lost 3-1 to Kuwait at Rajamangala National Stadium.

Kuwait raced to a 3-0 lead with Theerathon Bunmathan's own goal after 24 minutes and strikes from Hussain Fadhel (60) and Hamad Aman (67).
