Rio 'too slow' on Olympics work

Rio de Janeiro needs to step up the pace if it is to be ready in time for the Olympics in 2016, the head of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) co-ordination commission said on Wednesday.

Nawal El Moutawakel, president of the Coordination Commission of the Rio 2016 Olympics, during a presser in Rio de Janeiro, on Feb 20.

"We've seen solid progress," said Nawal El Moutawakel, after wrapping up a three-day inspection trip.
