Oldest marathon runner,101, retires

A 101-year-old Sikh believed to be the world's oldest distance runner retired after ending his last race in Hong Kong on a high, describing it as one of the "happiest days" of his long life.

Fauja Singh waves after crossing the finish line in the 10km event as part of the Hong Kong Marathon on February 24, 2013. The 101-year-old Sikh is believed to be the world's oldest distance runner.

Fauja Singh, nicknamed the "Turbaned Tornado", finished the 10-kilometre (6 mile) run at the Hong Kong Marathon in one hour, 32 minutes and 28 seconds -- half a minute faster than at the same event last year.
