No shame here in, a 17 yr. old, playing with 9 of the top 10 female golfers in the world, coming in second. I witnessed Arnold Palmer missing an even shoter putt and it sure didn't rattle his future career. Cheers Ariya !

Watching the replay of the video of the 18th hole, I think a better option for her than taking an unplayable from the bunker is to hit or punch the ball out sideway from the bunker. She'd be playing her fourth shot from a spot which has got to be easier than a long bunker shot on to a treacherous green.

Yesterday you ran a story saying Ariya had won the event - was the BPs fact checker having a day off ?

Well done, Ariya. From a teacher at your old school. If I see you jogging around the church next week, I'll tell you so myself.

    I agree with D@1.

She is inexperienced & therefore it is not surprising that she 'choked.'

She will be back and this disappointment, so difficult to bear, will make her stronger & more prepared for next time.

    Chok Dee!

Fantastic effort Ariya. You will be all the stronger from your close loss and, I'm sure go to be a great golfer.

    Keep your head down.

With better course management and perhaps a more experienced caddie to guide her, she could have won. No shame though for the talented and courageous Thai lady.
