Rodman: Kim Jong-Un awesome

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman lauded North Korea's new ruler as an "awesome kid" and his father and grandfather as "great leaders" at the end of his basketball diplomacy mission to Pyongyang.

At a time of high US-North Korea tensions following Pyongyang's recent nuclear test, the man who once dated Madonna became the most high-profile American to meet Kim Jong-Un, with whom he watched a basketball match.

Kim "is like his grandfather and his father, who are great leaders, he is an awesome kid, very honest and loves his wife so much", China's state-run Xinhua news agency quoted Rodman as saying before he left for Beijing on Friday.

#5, sure it's the NC awesome man on the photo... NOW. This morning, before my post, BP published an other picture, without him.

Still, it's sad to see Rodman demeaning himself by mouthing such immoral and unreasoning drivel, however much the North Korean patronage system stuffed into his pocket as a reward for his collusion with the ignorance enforcing censorship that terrorizes all law abiding North Koreans into frequent expressions of the same necessarily worthless opinions.

" Kim 'is like his grandfather and his father, who are great leaders, he is an awesome kid, very honest and loves his wife so much'. "

    Obviously.
Saying anything less adulatory and respectful is a serious criminal offense resulting in a lengthy prison sentence.
So the sentiment must be as sincere as the opinion is well founded and as the words are true.

North Korean law permits no other possibilities.

To Peterd: It's definitely Kim Jong-Un (front left) in the photo, or maybe he has a twin brother. Are there any North Koreans playing in the NBA or WNBA?

Sorry, D2, but even the most optimistic estimates put the economic recovery period for a united Korea at some 20 years.

Always the communist systems used (and other dictatorships)the sport as a propaganda tool. Nothing new, just the article don't say if Rodman was paid in US Dollars or in Wons. And bravo to BP, maybe the better photo of Kim Jong-Un i saw (up, "front left").

The people of North Korea deserve better than what they have had to endure under this leadership .A united Korea would become a powerhouse in Asia .

Maybe next week Rodman will be Obama's guest in the white house and lavish him with the praises he has become accustomed to in the press.
