Pungluang loses WBO title

Thailand's Pungluang Sor Singyu yesterday lost his WBO bantamweight title after being well-beaten by challenger Paulus Ambunda.

In his first title defence since taking the belt in October in the Philippines, Pungluang lost to Ambunda 112-116, 112-116 and 113-115, leaving Thailand without a single world champion.
