Ariya making rapid progress

Thai teenager Ariya Jutanugarn has broken into the top 40 in the world rankings after just four tournaments as a professional, thanks to her fourth-placed finish at the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore on Sunday.

The 17-year-old rookie, a Ladies European Tour (LET) member, moved to 57th last week after her runner-up finish at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Ranked 236th at the beginning of the year, Ariya started her professional career last month with a joint-second place at the Australian Ladies Masters and then tied for 25th at the New Zealand Women's Open.
