Jamaica's world 100 metres champion Yohan Blake is to get his bid to defend his crown later this year under way at the opening Diamond League meeting in Doha on May 10.

The 23-year-old - who took silver behind compatriot Usain Bolt in last year's 100m Olympic final - said he was intending to run the fastest time yet recorded on the traditionally fast Qatari track.
