Menez, Ibra power PSG past stumbling Rennes

- +

A superb strike from Jeremy Menez and a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic guided Paris Saint-Germain to a 2-0 victory at Rennes on Saturday as the Ligue 1 leaders edged closer to their first title in 19 years.

Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Jeremy Menez (L) scores a goal past Rennes' goalkeeper Benoit Costil during their French L1 football match on April 6, 2013 at the Route de Lorient stadium in Rennes, western France. PSG won 2-0.

Menez shredded the home defence to break the deadlock on 56 minutes, while Ibrahimovic netted his league-best 26th goal of the campaign in second-half stoppage time as PSG restored their seven-point advantage at the top of the table after Marseille had trimmed the lead to four following Friday's 1-0 triumph over Bordeaux.
