Guangzhou Evergrande defeated SCG Muang Thong United 4-1 in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday night to send the Thai league champions closer to an early exit.
In the other Group F match, South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds.
Muang Thong remain bottom of the group with only one point from four games. The Kirins now need two wins in their final two matches - away to Jeonbuk and at home to Urawa, to stand any chance of reaching the knock-out round of 16.
