Muang Thong United can extend lead against TOT SC

Leaders SCG Muang Thong United will be looking forward to widening the gap on top of the Thai Premier League table when they travel to TOT SC today.

Second-placed Buriram United missed a chance to take the lead in midweek when they were held to a 1-1 draw by BEC Tero Sasana.

After 10 matches, Muang Thong have 25 points and Buriram 24.

"We have a good chance of extending our lead after Buriram could only manage a draw with BEC," Muang Thong director Ronnarit Suewaja said.

He reminded his men not to underestimate TOT, who knocked the Kirins out of a Cup competition last year.

Muang Thong will be without playmaker Jakkraphan Pornsai, who is out for up to one month after injuring his groin in the League Cup in midweek.

Adnan Barakat, Sarawut Masuk and Park Nam Chol can play in the position, though, Ronnarit insisted.

TOT coach Somchai Supperm will also aim for three points despite having several injured players.
