Buriram beat Ratchaburi to take top spot

- +

Buriram United yesterday moved to the top of the Thai Premier League after defeating Ratchaburi 2-1 at the I-Mobile Stadium.

Buriram’s Carmelo Gonzalez, centre, vies for the ball against Ratchaburi players.

Buriram's Osmar Ibanez had a chance in the 24th minute but he headed over the bar and Carmelo Gonzalez shot wide two minutes later. Buriram finally opened the scoring in the second half when Jirawat Makkrarom fired in a free-kick and Ratchaburi's Douglas Gardozo conceded an own-goal when trying to clear the ball off his line.
