Scott, Furyk share PGA lead with Tiger six back

- +

Masters champion Adam Scott birdied five holes in a row and matched Jim Furyk for the first-round lead of the PGA Championship with top-ranked Tiger Woods six shots adrift.

Adam Scott (L) of Australia walks with Phil Mickelson of the United States up the eighth fairway during the first round of the 95th PGA Championship in Rochester, New York, on August 8, 2013.

On an Oak Hill layout softened by Thursday's pre-dawn showers and a 70-minute afternoon rain delay, Scott and Furyk flirted with the course record of 64 shared by Ben Hogan and Curtis Strange before finishing on five-under par 65.
