Kenya tightens security for Nairobi marathon after mall attack

Kenyan police pledged Thursday to boost security for the Nairobi marathon on Sunday, being staged just over a month since Al-Qaeda linked gunmen killed at least 67 people in a shopping mall.

Nairobi is still reeling from the four-day siege on the upmarket Westgate shopping mall by Somali militants, with security forces on high alert.
