Glasgow to host Diamond League

The British leg of this year's Diamond League will take place in Glasgow, two weeks before the Scottish city hosts the Commonwealth Games, organisers announced on Wednesday.

British Athletics revealed that the event, which usually takes place in London, will instead be staged at Hampden Park between July 11 and 12.

The Commonwealth Games opens with a ceremony at Celtic Park on July 23, with Hampden set to host the athletics events and the August 3 closing ceremony.
