The Kirins suffered a home defeat against surprise package Ratchaburi in midweek and dropped to third and will be trying to bounce back at BEC.

“We were shocked by the loss to Ratchaburi and it is a big lesson for us,” Muang Thong assistant coach Pol Chomchuen said. “BEC are strong at home. It is an important match and our aim is to win the three points to bring back our confidence.”

BEC director Robert Procuerer said his team’s midfielders must be more consistent as they sometimes fail to outplay opponents.

“Sometimes they are unable to deliver when they face a big team,” he said. “But we are confident that we will beat Muang Thong.”

Co-leaders Ratchaburi face a tricky assignment against high-flying Army who are just one point behind the Dragons.

Singhtarua, the other co-leaders, will be trying to extend their brilliant run when they travel to Chainat tomorrow.

Defending champions Buriram United, who ended their losing streak in midweek, should have few problems against Chiang Rai United.
