Promoted club Singhtarua had been seen as a relegation contender but they are unbeaten on 17 points, two ahead of Ratchaburi.

Led by South Korean forward Joo Sung-Hwan, who scored the winner in their 1-0 win over Suphanburi at the weekend, Singhtarua are hot favourites against TOT who are 12th on nine points, two above the drop zone.

Out-of-sorts champions Buriram United also have nine points and face a daunting task at Suphanburi, who are strong at home.

But Suphanburi will be without several injured or suspended players, including striker Diouf Bireme, who was sent off in the previous match.

Buriram suffered another setback on Sunday when they could only manage a 1-1 home draw with bottom club Samut Songkhram.

“We missed the three points in our previous match and we can’t afford any more slip-ups,” Buriram manager Tadthep Pitakpoolsin said.

SCG Muang Thong United, who are third on 14 points, will be hoping that their revival continues at PTT Rayong.

Under caretaker coach Pol Chomchuen, the Kirins secured a crucial 2-1 win against Bangkok Glass on Sunday, following a string of poor results which led to the departure of English coach Scott Cooper.
