LONDON: Tottenham Hotspur kept their faint hopes of a top-four finish alive with a 3-1 win over relegation-threatened Fulham in a Premier League clash at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Spurs remain sixth in the standings but cut their deficit with fourth-place Arsenal to four points after goals from Paulinho, Harry Kane and Younes Kaboul ended Fulham's run of two consecutive wins. Arsenal have played one game less than their London rivals, however.

The defeat for Fulham leaves Felix Magath's side two points behind fourth-bottom Norwich City, who host Premiership leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

Paulinho put Tottenham ahead with a simple tap-in after Christian Eriksen's free kick beat the Fulham defence but Steve Sidwell equalised just two minutes later.

Kane restored Tottenham's lead after the interval with a header from Aaron Lennon's cross and Kaboul made it 3-1 as he turned home another good free kick from Eriksen.

Sidwell missed a penalty following Eriksen's handball in the area 15 minutes from time.
