Chonburi defeat Singhtarua as three players are sent off

Chonburi won 3-1 at Singhtarua last night in an ill-tempered match which saw three players sent off.

The Sharks raced to a 2-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes with goals from Pipob Onmo in the third minute and Adul Lasoh in the 10th.

Sirichai Lamputtha cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 12th minute only for Fode Bangaly Diakite to finished off the hosts with a penalty kick nine minutes from time.

Singhtarua’s Lee Sang-Ho was dismissed after 49 minutes for head-butting Anderson dos Santos.

The visitors were reduced to nine men when Pipob was sent off two minutes later and Chonlathit Chantakam received his second yellow card three minutes from time.

Chonburi moved to third on 20 points — three behind leaders SCG Muang Thong United, who host Suphanburi today.

BEC Tero Sana are second on 20 points and will travel to Chainat today.

Promoted Singhtarua, who got off to a fast start to the season, have suffered to consecutive heavy defeats. They lost 3-0 at TOT last week and are now fifth on 20 points.

In yesterday’s other matches, Army beat Samut Songkhram 4-2, Osotspa drew 1-1 with PTT Rayong and TOT drew 0-0 with Ratchaburi.
