In four-ball, Pornanong and world No.88 Onnarin will take on No.20 Azahara Munoz and No.63 Carlota Ciganda.

Moriya and her younger sister Ariya will be up against No.37 Beatriz Recari and No.112 Belen Mozo.

Thailand are the youngest team with the players’ average age being 22.75.

The Thais are also the only team without an LPGA Tour win.

Spain, who have won four LPGA titles among their players, are much more experienced in match play.

Munoz, Recari and Ciganda have played in the Solheim Cup. Munoz and Ciganda are familiar with the course having won the 2009 NCAA title with Arizona State.

Thailand will next meet Australia tomorrow and the US on Saturday.

The American and Austrailan teams are considered stronger than the Spaniards.
