Second-placed SCG Muang Thong United hope to stop the rot when they travel to Bangkok Glass in the Thai Premier League tomorrow.
Muang Thong’s Jay Bothroyd, left, vies with BEC’s Peerapat Notechaiya.
The Kirins were held to a 2-2 draw at Ratchaburi last weekend and suffered a 1-0 home loss to BEC Tero Sasana in midweek.
Muang Thong lost their lead after the BEC defeat and are now behind Buriram United on goal difference.
Muang Thong manager Kan Puengkan said he was unfazed by the poor spell and that they would bounce back against Bangkok Glass.
Assistant coach Pol Chomchuen said Muang Thong were the better side in their loss to BEC.
“We played well but our players need time to understand new coach Dragan Talajic’s tactics,” he said.
He said his players did not have a problem with Leo Stadium’s artificial turf.
Glass coach Anurak Srikerd said: “It is always difficult against Muang Thong but we can beat them.”
Also tomorrow, Buriram should have few problems against bottom club Samut Songkhram.
Buriram thrashed Chiang Rai 5-0 in midweek and their chairman Newin Chidchob said his men would hold the lead until the end of the season.
