Gjurovski scores for Kirins in dying minutes against Chiang Rai

SCG Muang Thong United's winless run continued yesterday when they settled for a 2-2 draw at Chiang Rai United in the Thai Premier League.

At United Stadium, Muang Thong were on the verge of suffering their third straight league defeat when Mario Gjurovski came to the rescue with his equaliser five minutes from time.

Muang Thong, who were knocked out in the FA Cup quarter-finals in midweek, went ahead after 64 minutes thanks to Datsakorn Thonglao's free-kick.

But the hosts hit back with two goals from Fernando Ferreira (73) and Haritz Borda (84), only for Gjurovski to earn a point for the Kirins with a headed goal.

Muang Thong are second on 54 points, two behind leaders Buriram United, who host Singhtarua today.

At Tinsulanonda Stadium, hosts Songkhla United secured three crucial points in the fight to avoid the drop after beating Chainat 1-0.

Manop Sornkaew scored the winning goal in the 31st minute for the Fighting Bulls.

At Ratchaburi Stadium, Ratchaburi beat Bangkok United 3-0 to end the visitors' impressive run.

Heberty Fernandes opened the scoring after 26 minutes and Genki Nagasato added two more before half-time.

At Leo Stadium, hosts Bangkok Glass defeated Si Sa Ket 2-1.

Goshi Okubo gave the Glass Rabbits the lead in the 63rd minute only for Siwapong Charoensil to equalise five minutes later.

Darko Taseviski scored the winning goal for the hosts in the 75th minute.
