Racing's Sexton sidelined with broken jaw

PARIS - Racing Metro's Ireland fly-half Jonathan Sexton is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines after fracturing his jaw in the weekend win over Toulon, his French Top 14 club reported on Monday.

Racing Metro fly half Jonathan Sexton, seen during his team's French Top 14 match against Union Bordeaux-Begles on August 23, 2014 at the Chaban Delmas stadium in Bordeaux

Sexton, who came off in the 50th minute of Saturday's 17-10 victory over the French champions, is due to miss Racing's four coming Top 14 games.

But he should be fit in time for the start of his team's European Cup campaign against Northampton on October 18.

Sexton took a hit when tackled by Toulon's Craig Burden early in Saturday's game, but he soldiered on, kicking two conversions, before being replaced by John Goosen.
