Chonburi hit by injuries

Thai Premier League leaders Chonburi will be without several key players when they travel to Chainat in the penultimate round of matches today.

Japanese Kazuto Kushida is out injured while Brazilian striker Thiago Cunha is suspended, Chonburi PR chief Jeerasak Chomthong said.

Adul Lasoh needs a late fitness test in the match at Khao Plong Stadium.

"We have several problems but we need three points to move closer to the title," Jeerasak said.

Chonburi, who last won the title in 2007, are one point ahead of holders Buriram United.

With five teams going down to League One, Chainat need a result for survival.

Chainat deputy manager Nittayaporn Tarasuk said: "We have several injured players and we cannot use Kraikitti In-utane, who is on loan from Chonburi.

"We are still not safe and we need a result to stay up in the Thai Premier League," Nittayaporn said.

Buriram will go to TOT and chairman Newin Chidchob said his men need two wins in the final two games to stand a chance of retaining the title.

Samut Songkhram, Air Force and Songkhla have been relegated.
