Suchao helped Buriram retain the title ahead of Japanese Wada's Chonburi. Chonburi came close to dethroning Buriram but ran out of steam in the final two games and finished three points off the pace.

Wada will lead the Sharks against Bangkok Glass in the FA Cup final on Sunday.

Suchao received a Toyota Camry Hybrid and Wada got a Toyota Altis.

Meanwhile, the FAT has banned referee Chaiya Mahaprab for 18 months and assistant referee Suchart Kwangmala for two years.

FAT referee chief Chinnasen Thongkomol said yesterday Chaiya, one of Thailand's top referees, and Suchart made several mistakes in Chonburi's 1-1 draw at Chainat in their penultimate game of the season.

"They made mistakes during the match which affected the result,'' he said. "The suspensions cover both international and domestic matches.''
