Chonburi seeking redemption in FA Cup decider

Chonburi have their last chance to win trophy this season when they take on Bangkok Glass in the FA Cup final at Supachalasai stadium today.

The Sharks were left heartbroken last Sunday when they were narrowly pipped to the Thai Premier League title by Buriram United.

Chonburi's Japanese coach Masahiro Wada urged his players to give their all.

"This match is the last match for Chonburi and we must play with our best performance to bring the FA Cup title back to Chon Buri," he said. "It is also a way to thank our fans for all their support and make up for last week's disappointment."

Chonburi captain Pipob On-mo echoed his coach's sentiment: "The FA Cup final is our last chance to win trophy for Chonburi after we missed out on the Thai Premier League title. Therefore, we have to bring out our best performance tomorrow."

Bangkok Glass head coach Anurak Srikerd said: "It's been seven years since Bangkok Glass took over the team from Krung Thai Bank and we have never won any official titles. This year, we have been mainly focused on this tournament after losing in the final last year."

Chonburi had won the FA Cup in 2010 while Bangkok Glass were runners-up last season when they lost 3-1 to Buriram United in the final.

Today's final will kick off at 6.15pm and will be shown live on NBT and TrueSport 2.
