Wada apologised for the defeat and accepted responsibility for every mistake made throughout the season.

Still smarting from finishing runners-up in the Thai Premier League, Chonburi were again forced to settle for second place on the weekend, with Bangkok Glass winning 1-0 in the FA Cup decider to claim the trophy.

"I would like to apologise to all the Chonburi football fans that we were unable to win any titles in this season," Wada said.

"I am responsible for all the mistakes. However, I would also like to congratulate the Bangkok Glass team for winning the FA Cup title."

Wada has also decided to step aside as head coach due to family problems, preventing him from continuing his work with Chonburi.

"Chonburi is a team that will be in my heart all the time," he said.
