Chon Buri-born Kanyalak Preedasuttijit, who last month won the Kartini Cup in Brunei, maintained her fine form as she clinched the overall title in the 72-hole girls division with a total score of 10-under-par 278. It was another good performance for Kanyalak, who also won the Singha Thailand Amateur Open 2014.

"It is another success for me this year. I am proud to make my parents happy," said the 16-year-old, who shot a final-round 69 at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course on Sunday.

In the boys event (Class C and D) where only 54 holes were played, the overall title went to the 12-year-old Wanchai from Phuket, who carded a final 71 for an eight-under-par 208.

In Class A, Sadom Kawekanjana won the men's title with a total score of five-under 283 while Thitapa Pakdeesetakul from Songkhla triumphed in the women's title on six-under 294.

In Class B, Atiruj Winaicharonechai and Ruksiri Sitradatanisorn won the boys and girls events respectively.

The annual Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Champioship has grown in popularity and at this year's edition, there were a huge number of golfers from 15 countries participating.
