World No.1 Lee Chong Wei should not play at the planned exhibition match in Bangkok, Thai badminton chief Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul said yesterday.

The Malaysian is scheduled to play long-time rival Lin Dan of China as part of the celebration of His Majesty the King's birthday on Friday.
However, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) has said Lee cannot play in the match as he is suspended for doping, pending a final decision by the governing body.
It said the provisional ban covers all events sanctioned by the BWF. Lee tested positive during this year's world championships.
The organisers of the event is reportedly making a last-ditch effort to get the green light for Lee to make his Bangkok appearance.
"I understand the situation and this is beyond the organisers' control,'' Patama said. "We should respect the rules.''
She praised the organisers for their efforts to host such a great match in honour of the King.
"I will do my best to find a way out,'' she said.
At a press conference in Bangkok last month, Jane Piyatat, president of the organising committee, said Lee could join the event because it was only an exhibition match.
He also argued that the match had been arranged before Lee was suspended.
The organisers stand to lose a large amount if the match was cancelled, Jane said.
