Play resumes in England-Sri Lanka ODI

Play resumed in the third one-day international between England and Sri Lanka in Hambantota on Wednesday after heavy rain stopped the game for almost three-and-a-half hours.

Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara walked out to the crease with Sri Lanka -- who chose to bat -- on 6-1 from two overs.

The match will now be played over 35 overs a side rather than the normal 50.

Kusal Perera was caught at point by Eoin Morgan off Chris Woakes for nought in the second over.

Sri Lanka hold a 2-0 lead in the seven-match series.
