DOHA - The Netherlands set a new world record of 1min 34.24secs in the women's 4x50m freestyle relay en route to victory in the opening final of the concluding session at the World Short-Course Swimming Championships in Doha.

Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands (2nd from L) competes in the Women's 50m Freestyle final on December 7, 2014 in Doha

The Dutch sliced 1.50secs from their own previous world mark set in the heats earlier on Sunday and means they hold all global standards in the women’s 4x50, 100 and 200m freestyle relays

It was the 19th world record of the five-day event at the Hamad Aquatic Centre.
