The 20-player team is led by Charyl Chappuis and Chanathip Songkrasin. However, there were no places for Chainarong Tathong, Sompong Soleb, Kirati Kaewsombut and Chayaphan Kitpongsritada.

The 41-year-old coach, who steered Thailand to win the Suzuki Cup last month, also refused to call up Prathum Chuthong and Mika Chunuansri.

"Their playing style does not suit my system,'' he said.

Buriram United defender Theerathon Bunmathan is not in the team, having been overlooked for the Asian Games and Suzuki Cup squads.

Nurul Sriyamkem and Thitiphan Puanjan are the only two players who did not play in the Suzuki Cup.

The King's Cup will be held in Nakhon Ratchasima from Feb 1-7 with Croatia, South Korea and North Korea also competing in the tournament.
