Slovakian star Daniela Hantuchova will be trying to become the first player to win the PTT Thailand Open three times next month.
The WTA Tour event will again be held at the Dusit Thani hotel, Pattaya from Feb 8-15.
Hantuchova, who won the event in 2011 and 2012, will face a strong Asian contingent, led by China's Shuai Peng, who reached the semi-finals at last year's US Open.
Other Asian players include Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas and Yaroslava Shvedova and Japanese duo Kurumi Nara and Kimiko Date-Krumm.
Some of the world's fast rising players will also take part in the tournament including Elina Svitolina of Ukraine and Monica Puig of Puerto Rico.
The tournament has a total purse of US$250,000 with the winner receiving $43,000 and 280 ranking points.
