Thailand midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin swept five titles at the Football Siam Golden Ball Award ceremony yesterday.

Dubbed 'Messi Jay,' the BEC Tero star was a member of the national side which won the AFF Suzuki Cup and the U23 team which finished fourth at the Asian Games last year.
The 21-year-old star was named the most valuable player by a panel and claimed the most popular player honour in a vote by fans.
He earned 46.3 percent of votes from fans, beating fellow Thailand midfielder Charyl Chappuis, who received 41.8 percent.
Chanathip also won the rising star award and the award for the best goal, which came against Malaysia in the second leg of the Suzuki Cup final. He was also selected to the Thai Premier League All-Stars team.
His goal against Malaysia completed Thailand's comeback from 3-0 down to lose 3-2 in Kuala Lumpur, a result that allowed them to win 4-3 on aggregate.
"I dedicate the awards to my parents and coaches," Chanathip said.
Thailand boss Kiatisak Senamuang won the best coach award for his success at the Suzuki Cup and Asian Games.
At the club level, Chonburi, who finished second behind Buriram United in the TPL, won the best club and fair play awards.
Ratchaburi forward Heberty Fernandez, who scored 26 goals last season, won the TPL best player and top scorer awards.
Striker Kingjana Sung-ngoen was named the best female player after helping the national team win the country's first ever World Cup berth at the senior level. Thailand will face former champions Germany and Norway as well as fellow debutants Ivory Coast at the Fifa Women's World Cup to be held in Canada this year.
Meanwhile, the men's team will play in the King's Cup to be held in Nakhon Ratchasima from Feb 1-7. Thailand will be up against South Korea, Honduras and Uzbekistan at the round-robin tournament.
