BEC Tero Sasana yesterday won the 2014 Toyota Premier Cup, beating Japanese side Sagan Tosu 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out after they drew 0-0 in regular time.

The Thai team had chances to win the match outright in the dying minutes but shots from Adisak Kraisorn and Ivan Boskovic missed their target.

Instead, BEC Tero Sasana prevailed on penalties, winning one million baht in the process.

In the Thai Premier League yesterday, Bangkok Glass beat Chiang Rai United 2-1, thanks to goals from Tanasit Siripala and Narong Jansawek.

Chonburi came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Chainat, who relied on a brace from Alex Maiolino to take the lead in the first half before the hosts rallied.
