Bangkok Glass and SCG Muang Thong United played to a scoreless draw in a fiercely contested Thai Premier League match last night.

In an entertaining match at Leo Stadium, both sides had chances but failed to break the deadlock.

With a few minutes left, Muang Thong sent the ball into the home team’s net through a throw-in which did not touch any player.

The referee initially judged it a goal, prompting a protest from the Glass Rabbits. After consulting his assistant, the referee disallowed the goal, leading to another protest by the visiting side.

The match was halted for several minutes due to the protests.

Bangkok Glass’ Peerapong Pichitchotirat was sent off in injury time after receiving a second yellow card.

Since the start of the new season last month, there have been several controversial calls with one referee suspended for four games after a mistake.
