Buriram United aim to maintain their perfect record in the AFC Champions League when they face Gamba Osaka on Wednesday.

Having beaten South Korea's Seongnam and Guangzhou R&F of China, the Thai Premier League champions top Group F on six points.

Japanese treble winners Gamba have yet to pick up a point following two defeats, while Seongnam and Guangzhou each have three points.

While Buriram coach Alexandre Gama said on Tuesday his team could not underestimate the struggling Japanese side, he wanted another win.

"This is an important and difficult match for our team," he said.

"But I want to see our players win every game and this is what every coach wants. If the match ends in a draw, it could be difficult for us to reach the next round. We respect Gamba Osaka but we will not give special attention to any players."

While the weather in Japan at the moment may be cold for Buriram players, captain Suchao Nutnum said this should not be a problem because they arrived in Osaka three days before the match.

Gamba coach Kenta Hasegawa said his team must win to keep alive their hopes of advancing.

"We lost our first two games and it will be difficult for our team to qualify for the next round if we lose again," he said.

"Our goal is to win and our players are ready for the match."

Hasegawa said the Thai team had several good players including Brazilian forwards Diogo Santo and Gilberto Macena who have been on fire in their first season at Buriram.

Buriram reached the AFC Champions League quarter-finals in 2013 but were eliminated in the group stage of last year's tournament.
