The Thailand Golf Association is aiming to win all four golf gold medals at the 28th SEA Games in Singapore in June.

The TGA announced its players for the June 5-16 tournament last week led by four medalists from last year’s Asian Games in South Korea.

The quartet are Natipong Srithong, Tawan Phongphun and Kasidit Lepkurt in the men’s event, and Benyapa Nipatsophon in the women’s category.

The other three are Sarit Suwannarut (men’s event) and Pajaree Anannarukarn and Suthavee Chanachai (women’s event). The golf competition at the SEA Games will tee off on June 9 at Sentosa Golf Club.

TGA president Rangsrid Luxitanonda said he was confident that his players could win all four gold medals at the biennial tournament.

But team manager Kanes Nitivanakul was cautious about the players’ chances of a making a clean sweep saying the course was much tougher than that at the 2014 Asian Games.

“It is much more difficult than the course they played in South Korea,” he said.

“The fairways are narrow and the most difficult holes are the first three. However, I think our players are good enough to win at least two or three gold medals.”

At the 2013 SEA Games in Myanmar, Thailand got two gold medals (men’s team and individual) and one bronze (women’s team).

Natipong was in the men’s team and Benyapa played in the women’s event at the Myanmar tournament.
