World No.5 Agnieszka Radwanska and No.7 Venus Williams have promised to thrill the Thai fans at this week's World Tennis Thailand Championship 2016.

The duo and No.20 Sara Errani of Italy arrived in Thailand on separate flights yesterday and will take part in the event to be held in Hua Hin tomorrow and on Friday.

No.10 Angelique Kerber of Germany, the other player in the competition, was scheduled to arrive later.

On her fourth visit to Thailand, American Williams said she likes the country and its food. "Thai people are nice and I always get a warm welcome," said Williams.

Apart from trying to entertain fans here, Williams will also observe Thailand's fashion and design scene.

Poland's Radwanska first came to Thailand eight years ago when she won the now-defunct Pattaya Open.

She said the weather at that time was very hot and hoped it would be cooler this time.

"I will try to entertain Thai fans and make them happy," she said.

Radwanska will face Kerber and Williams take on Errani on New Year's Eve at Hua Hin Centennial Club.

The winners will meet in the final on New Year's Day.

During their stay they will take part in several activities including giving alms to monks and joining a Thai food cooking class.

Tickets are 2,000 baht each and available at Vana Nava Water Park (tel 032-909-606), Inter Continental Hua Hin hotel (032-616-999), Hua Hin Centennial Club (032-909-633) and the Agency (0-2655-7998).
