Sri Lanka make New Zealand bat in ODI

MOUNT MAUNGANUI (NEW ZEALAND) - Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl in the fifth and final one-day international against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui on Tuesday.

"The wicket looks hard with a bit of grass and that is the reason for bowling first," captain Angelo Mathews said.

It is a must win game for Sri Lanka if they are to square the series.

They have made one change, adding Nuwan Pradeep as an extra seamer at the expense of leg spinner Jeffrey Vandersay.

New Zealand have also made one change with Trent Boult replacing Doug Bracewell.

They will again be captained by Kane Williamson while Brendon McCullum remains sidelined with a sore back.

New Zealand currently lead 2-1 with one game abandoned because of rain.
