Benfica attack depleted, Bayern make two changes

LISBON - Benfica coach Rui Vitoria has turned to Mexico international Raul Jimenez to lead the line against Bayern Munich in their Champions League quarter-final second leg, with three key forwards missing.

The Portuguese champions need to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit without top-scorer Jonas after the Brazilian, who has scored 32 goals this season, picked up a yellow card in the opening match in Germany and is out through suspension.

That is one of three changes made by Vitoria, with Argentine attacking midfielder Nicolas Gaitan out with a thigh problem and replaced by Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez on the wing.

Jimenez plays up front on his own, with Pizzi moving from the wing into a more central role.

Eduardo Salvio also comes into the team in the absence of Greek international striker Kostas Mitroglou, who has scored 21 goals this season.

Bayern manager Pep Guardiola has made just two alterations to his starting side with Juan Bernat and Robert Lewandowski, who are both a booking away from a suspension for the possible semi-final first leg, dropped to the bench.

Xabi Alonso and Javi Martinez come in to play in midfield and central defence respectively.
