Ariya Jutanugarn has become Thailand's No.1 female golfer after her win at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic on Sunday.

Ariya, who became the first Thai champion on the LPGA Tour with the win in Alabama, moved up 11 spots to 21st in the latest world rankings.

The 20-year-old from Bangkok is now the country's highest-ranked player ahead of Pornanong Phatlum.

Pornanong dropped to 33rd following her joint 13th finish at the Yokohama event.

Ariya's older sister Moriya and Nontaya Srisawang are ranked 96th and 154th respectively.

The quartet will represent Thailand at the second International Crown in July.

Meanwhile, Ariya moved up from 16th to sixth on the LPGA money list with US$492,820 after 11 events while Pornanong has earned $276,839 from 10 events.

"Thanks for all the support from the fans who always believed in me," Ariya said.

"Special thanks to my mom and my sister [Moriya], who stood beside me during hard times."

In the men's rankings, Australian Jason Day remains at the top, followed by American Jordan Spieth and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy.

American James Hahn, who won the Wells Fargo title on Sunday, jumped from 134th to 55th.
